Rajballavi Mata temple one of the famous devotional place in Hooghly district in a village called Rajbalhat under Gram Panchayet Rajbolhat II in the Jangipara CD Block
A traditional local proverb describes the village structure: “Char chak, chodda para, tin ghat; ei neye Rajbalhat” (Four crossings, fourteen localities, and three bathing ghats).
Rajbalhat, a census town in Hooghly district, was the 16th-century capital of the prosperous Bhursut (Bhurishrestha) kingdom, which extended across parts of Howrah and Hooghly and renowned as a hub for silk, handloom, and terracotta art.
