Daily Puja Schedule of Maa Rajballavi

Villagers and others visit temple to do LAXMI GANESH puja in the morning time, Huge crowd gathers.

BHAGABATI puja is performed at the temple.

This day is celebrated as Ma’s birthday and Special puja is performed with special Bhog Prasad . The deity is being dressed in beautiful Benarasi Saree and flowers. In the month of JAISHTHYA puja for agricultural land is offered. Every Monday of the SRABAN month Special puja for Lord Shiva is performed at the Shiva temples.

Janmastami is celebrated with special puja at temple on the Ashtami Tithi (eighth day) of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) in the Hindu month of Bhadrapada( August or September) Chaalbhaja , Chire murki , sweets are being distributed to devotees.

Durga Puja is celebrated with splendour with special puja on the day of MAHAPANCHAMI.

On the day of SHASHTI Ma is adorned with exclusive gold jewellery and crown marking the beginning of the festival days.

During Durga Puja, she is worshipped in her specific Rajballavi form rather than the standard Durga idol maintaining  all durga puja rituals .

Even today the legend mentioned about Rajballavi Devi persists. Seven small boats are made and just before the Astami puja six of them are sunk in the adjoining temple tank and then only the Sandhi puja worship commences.

MOSH BOLI

Mosh Boli (buffalo sacrifice) is a traditional ritual performed which is still being continued at the Rajballavi Mata mandir on the day of NABAMI .Along with Mosh Boli (buffalo), the temple also performs Mesh Boli (ram sacrifice) and Chag Boli (goat sacrifice ) and 20 other sacrifices using unique traditional methods.

Thousands of devotees gather to observe this tradition and there is a tremendous craze to collect the blood shed from Boli among  villagers who consider this as holi and medicinal relief to many diseases. After the sacrifice the  Mosh is buried .

During Durga Puja lot of police men need to be deployed to manage the huge crowd specially on Nabami during Mosh Boli.

On the BIJAYA DASHAMI day devotees and villagers first offer BIJAYA greetings and Pranam to Ma and then to their relatives and others.

On the Panchami Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Magha NEEL SARASWATI DEBI puja is performed at the temple .Neel Saraswati is considered to be another manifestation  of Ma TARA .On this day also traditional ritual of sacrifice of goat is done

In the month of CHAITRA there is. MAYER GAJAN . Monks from nearby area jump on bed of thorns on of Jujube trees and hay pillows. The deity is offered Sattu Bhog on this day.
